Well, I missed seeing you make this post, and although I have Diablo III pre-ordered (collector’s edition game and guide) I need to replace my laptop first as it just doesn’t have the specs needed for it.
Yea, I tried out the beta for about an hour on my wife’s comp. Turns out my comp wasn’t able to handle it either. But yea, hopefully we both get things fixed so we can play it come release date. Those CE wings are going to be so freakin’ sweet.
Oh, I won’t be able to get the loan for the new laptop until the 18th. My father has agreed to co-sign on the loan, but he wants me to have about $500-$600 on hand first (the one I’m looking at from Digital Storm is around $2700, and it’ll kick any Alienware laptop’s ass with ease), and the 18th is when I get the paycheck from my second job that give me the money to work with (well, I’ll actually have over $1000 on hand then, but I think you get the point).
Damn, 2700 bucks is serious business for gaming. I think at this point or until I win the lotto, I’ll be bargain basement hunting for my pc. Well good luck with getting that Digital storm comp. Feel like a comp that fine should double as a servant or something.
It has 3rd generation Intel Core i7 quad-core processor running at 3.6 GHz, 8GB of RAM, a 750 GB HDD, and an nVidia GeForce GTX 675M vidcard with 2GB of VRAM. It’ll handle any games that come out for the next 2 or 3 years with ease, and still meet minimum requirements for most for the next 5 years. Which is why I’m willing to spend so much on it, I don’t want to have it be so low-spec that it’s nearly useless in just 2 years. If I can get a loan for around $4000 I’ll go with the 3.4 GHz hex-core processor and dual vidcards (same vidcard though). It’ll take longer to pay off, but if they manage to release a game in the next 5 years that that build can’t handle with ease then it’d be a game meant only for the ultra-wealthy as normal people would never have a chance at having a system that can handle it until around the time it stops being supported.
