Well, I’ve mentioned this a couple of times, but one more time can’t hurt, I’ll be a dad around mid April. A thought that had me pretty terrified at first. I was pretty cool with the pregnancy up until my wife’s obgyn gave us her estimate of the due date. I think it finally hit home (yea, I guess seeing my wife’s pregnant belly gradually ballooning over the course of the past eight months wasn’t ringing any bells). I’m going to be a dad. I couldn’t sleep for a couple of nights as all my insecurities came rising out of the woodwork. Will I make a good dad, will I have the patience to put up with my baby’s fussiness, will I be able to pitch in enough to support the household financially. Also some dumb stuff , like hoping he doesn’t inherit my laziness, or my slightly longer left middle finger, or my one crooked tooth. But it’s been a week since then, and I think I’ve settled down a bit. Now I’m starting to get excited once again. I will strive to be a cool but an a$$hole dad. Messing with them and such. For example, two of my favorite parenting videos on youtube:

Well, long story short, I’ll be knocking out my Thursday updates indefinitely as I settle into fatherhood. The strip will update Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting April 1st. Sorry if some of you come here exclusively for the Gregcrafts (not sure if there are any, but if there are, sorry once again.) Other than that, I guess that’s it. Thanks for reading everyone. Oh, one more thing, if you know anyone who might enjoy reading the strip, please help me out by referring Greg to them. Trying to build on the readership, making progress, but it’s been a very gradual process. Thanks a ton.

good luck &^^&….its a good clever comic…i’ll see what i can do lol
awesome, gut. Thanks for the support!
whoops, forgot the “ton” part of it. Thanks a ton for the support!
Are you on facebook yet? Many users are. If/when you are, I’ll “Like” the comic for you – because I do. Oh, and congrats on the kid. That’ll be one lucky kid, lol.
Yea, I got the fanpage link to the left of the comic blog section. There’s a like button there. And thanks CJ, I got my “wake up” water gun all ready.
It’s never fun being an A-hole to your kid. I suggest letting the wife take that role. Mothers are notorious for being about to get away with that and still be loved. =x
haha, moms are generally going to be more loved regardless. I think a-hole to me means something different to kids. Think they view disciplining them as an a-hole move. Me, I’m just going to mess with my kid.
I’m sure you’ll do fine. Every man has those worries and then the paternal instincts kick in. Congrats!
Hey thanks Jim. Good to know I’m not the only one feeling insecure about oncoming parenthood.
Good luck, and always remember thinkgeek.com it will be your bestest friend
Hey thanks JJeide.
